And it is joyous. If you have a decent smartphone, it’s suddenly become a very good mobile racing game.
Yes the tuning is limited, the cars are a bit outdated, and your opponent is limited to 4. But, it has a full-fat Gran Turismo 5 physic engine, and that’s quite realistic, especially for a mobile game that only weighs 1GB. I like it.

I played this back in the day on PSP. The physics are pretty good which is great, but there just aren’t really any events. I really don’t understand the corners they cut on this game.

Details please! I need this in my life

PPSSPP?

Yeah. Maybe they want to keep the game size low, or maybe they just stuck. I also play it in my PSP, but she died just recently.

What phone did you use?
You only need to install the app (available in any smartphone platform plus Windows an Linux), load up your ISO, and you’re all set.

I have an iPhone. It's android-only, isn't it?

But it seems to me that the car and track models are where most of the size is. And the physics engine takes all the processing. The events should be a very small amount of data dictating the track and car requirements and the reward. It should be the easy part! You could randomly generate them if you really wanted to.

Yep :) Like all the best stuff!

Can my HTC m8 play it ?

Well, the problem is, they’re just porting the cars and tracks over from gt4 and add a few cars from GT5 Prologue (GT-R R35, Corvette ZR5, etc.), and then reduce the texture size.
For the events, i don’t know what happened, but I think the events was part of the GT Mode in normal game, and quite heavy, because you’ll need to develop used car markets, tuning, etc.
*In fact, the early builds has some extra cars that didn’t make it to the game due to size issues, like Aston Martin DB9 and NC Miata. There’s also deleted tracks like Rome Circuit and Hong Kong.

Of Course it would. You had the power.
In fact, since i run it on my Nexus 4, you might get a much better graphics.

You could live without tuning, and there’s already a car market which is probably more similar to GT6. I miss the events, no one wants a game of just licence tests.

Yeah. But what I really want is being able to choose what car to be your opponent.
I want my SLR to fight a GT-R R35, not some lemans prototype.

Well I’m not going back anytime soon. I had an android and I hated it

It's an old link but if you jailbreak your iPhone you can do a lot of the same stuff as you can on an android and still look down upon the non apple people.

Yeah I jailbroke my 2nd-gen iPod back when all the cool kids were doing it but I didn't really care for it. Don't really have a reason to now either. Thanks anyway though

That doesn’t mean you wouldn’t like it now, especially with the right phone :) The beauty of Android is that, unlike iPhone, there are many combinations of hardware and software available. Unfortunately this also means cheap shitty phones, and some difficulties when Android doesn’t fit a device as well as it should.
But generally you can do more, and on a device where it’s done well it’s awesome.

Yeah it's mostly just personal preference honestly. I just prefer the look and feel of iOS over android, and there's not one droid phone that I personally think looks better than an iPhone. I prefer sleek and smooth over clutter. That's just me though

There is a lot of preference involved, you’re right. To each their own

Which phone is that? Will this work well with my iPhone?
